    Hands are Not for Hitting...
    Grades 1-3

The goal of this 30-minute program is to teach youngsters how to deal with anger and conflict without hitting or using hurtful words. Children are given the opportunity to sign a pledge that they will not use their hands for hitting.

    Respectful Connections...
    Grades 4-6

This program is presented in two 40-minute sessions. In the first session students are asked to talk about their feelings, and they explore how to communicate their feelings assertively. During the second session, the children are asked to talk about having respect and learning empathy for other peoples' feelings. Students take part in individual and group interactive exercises to learn essential elements of healthy relationships.

    Healthy Relationships...
    Grades 7-12

This program focuses on adolescent dating relationships. The goal is to help students understand what makes a relationship healthy or unhealthy. Students watch a video and participate in interactive discussions. They are taught to recognize the red flags of abusive behavior. They will also learn how to access community resources and how to support a peer who may be a victim of abuse. This is an 80-minute presentation that can be expanded to 120 minutes.
